We are committed to educating and supporting our customers, and one another.

In addition to our self-service options listed below, the ID Center is conveniently located on the first floor of  the FAC.  We offer several ID card services including ID card printing, replacements, and EID upgrades.  Also, the ID Center provides in-person IT help for services such as DUO, EID, and VPN.

 

UT EID upgrades allow access to online services and other university resources.  We issue proximity-enabled ID cards for eligible individuals, including students, faculty, staff, official visitors, and university affiliates.


 

Effective 9/1/2024 the ID Card rate is changing.

The ID Center recommends using the request forms below to upgrade your EID and submit your ID Card photo online. Once your ID Card has been created, you will be notified to visit the ID Center in-person to pick it up.

If you are unable to use the online processes, you may visit the ID Center in-person, during business hours, to complete your EID upgrade, take your photo, and receive your ID Card.

  • Online EID Upgrade

    Before proceeding to the request an EID Upgrade, please visit the EID Self-Help Tools, "Upgrade my EID" to verify whether your EID is already upgraded.

  • UT ID Card Online Photo Submission

    The UT ID Card’s online photo submission process enables UT Austin students, faculty, staff, retirees, and sponsored affiliates to upload a photo to be used for their first UT ID Card.

    Features
    The UT ID Card Online Photo Submission service allows anyone eligible for a UT ID Card to snap a selfie from their phone, tablet, or computer and upload that photo to be used for their first UT ID Card. The service uses single sign-on with the customer's EID and password so there's no app to download and additional credentials to maintain.
    Cost

    Use of the UT ID card online photo submission service is available at no cost to members of UT. The cost of the ID Card for students and replacement cards for all members of UT is $10.

    Routine requests are typically addressed within two business days. Times will vary during rush, such of during NSS Orientation and the first week of classes.
