Is my computer on Austin Active Directory?

To determine if your computer is on Austin Active Directory (Windows 7):

  1. Select the Start menu. 

  2. Point your mouse to Computer and perform a Right-Mouse click.

  3. Select Properties from the drop-down list to open System preferences.

  4. If you see austin.utexas.edu next to Domain, your computer is on Austin Active Directory
  • If you see Domain but the domain is NOT austin.utexas.edu, your computer is on another Active Directory.

 

 To determine if your computer is on Austin Active Directory (Windows 10):

  1.  Open the Control Panel
  2. Click the System and Security category
  3. Click System
  4. Under Computer Name, select domain and workgroup settings
  5. If you see Austin.utexas.edu next to Domain, the computer is connected to Austin Active Directory
