Where can I use the Virtual ID Card?
The Virtual ID Card is not to be used as a substitute to your physical ID Card.
Virtual ID Cards do not provide access to buildings on campus or meal plans associated with physical cards, and may not be accepted as a valid form of identification at all locations on campus.
You may not use the Virtual ID Card to:
- Access university buildings and facilities protected by the Campus Security Systems.
- Board Capital Metro buses, commuter rail, shuttles, etc.
- Enter university dining locations.
- Obtain access to university sporting events.
The above list is not comprehensive and is subject to change without prior notice.
Individual university offices and vendors are not required to accept the Virtual ID Card in place of the physical ID Card and, if they choose to accept the Virtual ID Card, may do so at their sole discretion.
If you have lost your physical UT ID Card, you will need to deactivate and replace it as soon as possible.
