The University of Texas at Austin maintains the Enterprise Authentication service which implements the Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) software. The Identity Provider software allows users to authenticate to a third-party SAML 2.0 Service Provider (SP).
All service providers must be part of a trusted federation or sponsored by a department at The University of Texas at Austin.
