Group Ownership Rules

• By default all Apollo groups will have a maximum of 5 owners.
• By default all Apollo groups will have a minimum of 2 owners.
• You must be an owner of the group to add or delete an owner.

Remove Owner

Note: Since a minimum of 2 owners is required, there must be at least 3 owners before an owner can be deleted.

To delete an owner:

1. Navigate to the Apollo Home page (https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apollo/index.WBX).
2. In the Navigation Menu on the left side, in the Search Apollo section, click on Groups I Own.
3. Click on the Group Name of the group you wish to manage.
4. Scroll down to the Owners table.
5. Select the text in the Owner identifier field and delete the text.
   
6. At the bottom of the page, click the Update button.
   NOTE: DO NOT click DELETE as this will delete the whole Apollo group. 
7. Scroll back down to the Owners to verify your changes.

Add Owner

Reminder: Apollo groups can have a maximum of 5 owners.

To add an owner:

1. Navigate to the Apollo Home page (https://utdirect.utexas.edu/apollo/index.WBX).
2. In the Navigation Menu on the left side, in the Search Apollo section, click on Groups I Own.
3. Click on the Group Name of the group you wish to manage.
4. Scroll down to the Owners table.
5. In a blank Owner identifier field enter the UT EID you want as an owner.
6. Ensure that the UT EID radio button is selected for that entry.
7. At the bottom of the page, click the Update button.
8. Scroll back down to the Owners to verify your changes.
