If you are able to access your Office 365 account via Outlook Web App (OWA), but are having problems accessing it via Outlook on your desktop, it may be the case that Outlook is using outdated credentials. Here are a few things to try:

  • If your workstation is in the Austin domain, be sure to log out and log back in again to pick up a fresh authentication token.
  • If your workstation is not in the domain, try the following in Outlook 2010:

    1. Go to the File tab -> Account Settings and click Account Settings.

    2. Double-click your Office 365 account and click More Settings...

    3. Go to the Security tab and make sure Always prompt for logon credentials is checked.
    4. Click your way out of the windows and restart Outlook.

If the problem persists, please contact the UT Service Desk.
